Childcare Assistance Program
Many families utilize Path of Life as a summer daycare option for their children, and we work hard to maintain eligibility for every state and local childcare assistance program available, to reduce the out-of-pocket costs for families.

The primary program most families are eligible for is the Childcare Assistance Program run through the Office of Children and Family Services.

Program information and eligibility questionnaire can be found HERE

*DSS daycare unit for Broome and surrounding counties will pay a maximum of $194 per child per week toward eligible summer camp programs*

While there is a lot of information available on their website, and every family situation is different, we will illustrate a median family financial situation to calculate how much a typical eligible family might save.

A family of 5, earning $100,000 per year, with 3 children enrolled in day camp will be eligible for the maximum assistance of $194 per child per week, minus the family share of $12.00, making their total out of pocket expense $210, a savings of $570 per week.

Families must complete all the necessary application and enrollment process by June 15 to be eligible for this program. If you have any questions or need assistance, please let us know how we can help.
